The Hancock, is a 62-story, 790-foot skyscraper in Boston. The tower was designed by Henry N. Cobb of the firm I. M. Pei & Partners and was completed in 1976.
It earned the nickname 'Plywood Palace' after a design flaw caused panes of glass to pop out ofplace crashingdown into the streets below. The missing panels were replaced with plywood.
