The Hancock, is a 62-story, 790-foot skyscraper in Boston. The tower was designed by Henry N. Cobb of the firm I. M. Pei & Partners and was completed in 1976.

It earned the nickname 'Plywood Palace' after a design flaw caused panes of glass to pop out ofplace crashingdown into the streets below. The missing panels were replaced with plywood.

My Dad helped build theHancock as an ironworker, he said there is a system of weights on top of the building tobalance it in the wind.
